Down and out of luck in New York City, Theo: young, gay, black and covered in full body and face tattoos, isn’t the typical dancer type, but his passion for dance is his salvation. When he fails an audition and finds himself homeless, he finds solace in his daydreams, escaping his reality and troubled past, including the abusive father that still haunts him. As he dances through the city he loves, he meets lovers who betray him and strangers that aid him, —including his father’s latest lover, a smart and sassy trans woman who takes him in.
