Gold Diggers of 1935
Plot: In a luxury hotel stage director Nicoleff stages a show to get the money to pay his bills. Mrs. Prentiss, who is backing the show wants her daughter Ann to marry the millionaire T. Mosely Thorpe, but Ann falls in love with Dick Curtis, while Dick's girl friend marries Ann's brother Humbolt. But the hotel stenographer Betty knows a way to avoid difficulties with old Mrs. Prentiss.

This probably had the strongest *story* so far, but the worst integration of musical numbers. Also wtf was Lullaby of Broadway’s staging??? Letting the poor kitty starve, it’s animal abuse!!!
This is the only one I really didn’t like. Obviously theres great stuff in here to like. But overall the capitalism was far too much.
I still “like it” but the rest had more for me.
