From exciting young filmmaker Olive Nwosu (recently announced as one of four “African Promises” from Institut Français), Masquerade is a complex examination of identity as shaped by race, sexuality, nationality and class. After being chosen for Official Selection at London and Toronto International Film Festivals, it was nominated for Best Animated Short at the British Independent Film Awards and competes at Sundance next month. At AoDR, Masquerade is nominated for Best LGBT+ Film.
